Here's a sampling of the risk and technology projects I've undertaken.

Strategic Automation leadership

Saved an estimated 9,000 annual employee hours by transforming Operational Risk reporting from manual, static spreadsheets to fully automated data transformations, Power BI pipelines, and predictive analytics in under 3 years

Broke down silos between risk and information technology by personally connecting personnel and establishing a collaborative environment. This increased the number of deliverables completed, achieved data quality targets of 99%, and reduced technology costs by 34%

Created a risk developer library consisting of over 2,000 SQL scripts that were free to use across the business, therefore reducing duplication of effort by 75%

Developed Operational Risk into an innovative, self-service reporting function that empowers business users by delivering easy-to-use analytics, authoritative data sources, comprehensive training, and frontline support

Vendor Process Re-engineering

Personally redesigned a broken GRC vendor implementation to include interim data transformations for uninterrupted operations while working with the vendor for permanent effective solutions

Data Governance

Led data governance and reporting workstreams, and directed data migrations for Operational Risk and Third-Party Risk functions onto GRC platforms

Achieved higher transparency in operational resiliency by addressing the impact of technology while serving as the co-Business Continuity Coordinator

Maintained data governance procedures of several critical data transformation process through lineage, metadata, technical documentation, end user computing standards, and process flows

Data Migrations

Advised IT architecture on data migrations from on-premise data stores to the Snowflake cloud by sharing production code and data transformation processes

Collocated data ecosystems with automated data collection through Microsoft Power Automate, Forms, Bots, Sharepoint, and Power BI

Operational Risk Profiles

Developed real-time operational processes profiles for business users to successfully utilize self-service data mining templates and understand their departments’ strengths and weaknesses

Real-time analysis of operational defects and impacts provided in a self-service format for business users to data mine

Every Report in Its place

Created over 70 automated reports and scoring models, consisting over 200,000 lines of code across various implementations, including Power BI, Snowflake, Access, Excel, and Python

Compliance Risk Forecasting

Using Markov analysis in R to predict areas of risk based on proprietary criteria.

INTERACTIVE DASHBOARDS

First iteration of dashboards were first created with Excel VBA scripting in 2014, and then transitioned to Tableau/Power BI for more robust visualizations.

FRB CCAR Report Automation

Designed and executed various scripts to amalgamate data, and transform it into pivot tables using both SAS EG and base SAS.

Survival Models

Enhanced a marketing funnel with a Cox survival model to predict lead generation, track customer acquisitions, and anticipate client budget needs over a 12-month timeframe

Used SAS to optimize the survival model, reducing run times by 15% and decreasing QA time by 3 days

Credit card forecasting models

Created a VBA credit-card forecasting tool that generated 6 reports with 3 levels of volume granularity
